San Marino Motor Classic and Paul Cerf Meet

The Southern California Region of the CCCA in conjunction with the San Marino Motor Classic held its annual Paul Cerf Meet on June 10, 2012 at Lacy Park in San Marino. Over 65 Full Classics were exhibited on the lawn along with an additional 200 cars competing in the San Marino Motor Classic. In addition to the Paul Cerf Award that was presented to Jay Johnson’s 1935 Packard 12 Convertible Coupe, CCCA members were eligible for Class Awards from the Motor Classic.

2012 Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance

One if by land...  "The British are Coming!" was the rallying cry of this year's Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance. They arrived in style. Pedigreed automobiles of British heritage lined Rodeo Drive for this year's concours, joined by other exceptional automobiles, for a display that spanned Rodeo Drive from Wilshire Blvd to Little Santa Monica Blvd. The event, which has become a Father's Day tradition, drew large crowds to Beverly Hills. All enjoyed a sunny, relaxed day, admiring the fine cars and the luxury boutiques of Rodeo Drive.

2012 Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance

 

The elegant Greystone Mansion hosted its 3rd annual Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, May 6, 2012. The event  was a glamorous and entertaining display held against the backdrop of the historic Doheny mansion. The Concours d'Elegance Best of Show trophy was awarded to an equally elegant automonbile, the 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 owned by David Sydorick of Beverly Hills.
 
As in previous years, SoCal CCCA showed their support for the event, rounding out the field with Classics. Aaron and Valerie Weiss took home the Spirit of Greystone Award for their always spectacular 1930 Cadillac 452A.
